Dinner and a Cruise

Beautiful silken waste,
the Great Salt Lake;
Glimmering reflected
mountain stretch,

I take her picture.

Noxious lake stench,
flies and flocks;
Floating feather stranded,
unable to sink,

You look fine.

Pork, carrots, cake,
and warm breezes;
Songs sung
past our time,

Let's stay here.

Little vivid sail,
boat in the sunset;
Evening, ending
docking, parting,

The woman or the lake?
